2016 Season Round Up

Doune have competed well this year again in both the West Perthshire League, finishing in second place and District 9 League, for the second year running being narrowly defeated in the final, this year by Borestone.

We also had great success in the West Perthshire knockout competitions.  The finals of this were played on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th August at Dunblane BC.  Doune had victories in the Ladies Singles (Lauren McGowan) and in the triples (Drew Murdoch, Dibs Mathieson and Kenny Murdoch).  Narrowly defeated in the other finals were Carol Nicol and Rae Duncan in the pairs, Rae Duncan, Paul Montieth and Craig Watson in triples and Jimmy Pratt, David Armstrong, Paul Monteith and Iain Morrison in the Fours.

After a fantastic finals day on Sunday 4th September 2016, the winners of the Club ties for the 2016 season are as follows:

The Presentation of Prizes Dinner/Dance will take place on Saturday 12th November at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start.  Tickets are priced at £12.00 and available from the Club.  We are looking forward to the band Crossroads providing the entertainment.

TOP 9 COMPETITION
